Below are the labs I offer, both in conjunction with my health coaching program, and individually in certain circumstances. I am not taking 1:1 coaching clients at this time, but I highly recommend the Wild + Well-Fed Membership for those needing more guidance on their health journey – within the membership you will receive more specific guidance on the foundations of your journey, plus access to ordering functional lab testing as needed.
*Please note that I reserve the right to offer functional lab testing outside of a health coaching program as I see fit on a case-by-case basis.
An at home, dried urine test that assesses estrogens (estriol, estradiol, estradiol), phase 1 and phase 2 estrogen metabolism, progesterone, testosterone, free cortisol, free cortisone, diurnal rhythm, cortisone/cortisol preference, melatonin, DHEA, DHEA-S, DHEA metabolites, and more!
Who is this test for?
Anyone who wants to take a closer look at their body’s stress response and sex hormones! The screenings included in this panel can provide valuable insight into the body’s Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Adrenal Axis and can show us how the body is perceiving and responding to stressors, along with providing us information on sex hormone balance (or imbalance).
Signs of steroid and/or sex hormone imbalance:
Feeling “tired but wired” or taking a while to feeling totally awake in the mornings, needing a cup of coffee to get through the day, poor sleep quality or unable to fall asleep/stay asleep, low blood pressure, lightheadedness, “brain fog,” craving salt and/or sugar, mood swings, low libido, PMS, irregular periods, infertility, painful sex, unexplained weight changes, hot flashes, and more.
An at-home, safe, non-invasive test that uses a small amount of hair analyzes the body’s mineral status, comparative ratios, and heavy metals. The test looks at calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, copper, iron, lead, aluminum, arsenic, and more, providing us valuable insight into how your body is functioning and what it needs to improve.
Minerals are the body’s “spark plugs” and are needed for millions of reactions throughout the body so our minerals impact every single bodily function.
Who is this test for?
Anyone who wants to take a closer look at their mineral status, learn about their metabolic type (how your metabolism is best balanced, how to best support your body through diet), and gain insight into their digestion, blood sugar balance, thyroid and adrenal function, detoxification, and more.
Signs of mineral imbalance:
Digestive problems, including bloating, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal cramping, poor immune function (frequent colds, general feelings of inflammation, wounds slow to heal), cold hands and feet, fatigue, low libido, insomnia, hair loss, bruising easily, low body temperature, irregular heartbeat, brittle nails, dry skin or skin changes, and more.
This is stool test screens for many different pathogenic microbes, including bacteria, viruses, and parasites. It also looks for presence of H. pylori, a particularly virulent bacteria, fungi/yeast overgrowth, and assesses bacteria that are normally present but have the potential to be overgrown (imbalanced microbiome/dysbiosis). Lastly, this test looks at several different intestinal health markers to assess overall digestive function and inflammation.
Who is this test for?
Individuals looking for an in-depth analysis of their gut health will find this test incredibly beneficial. I personally had a GI-MAP run during a period that my health was at its best and was still surprised to find mild microbiome imbalance – it gave me an area of healing to focus on!
Signs of gut dysfunction/presence of pathogens:
Chronic fatigue, skin problems (acne, eczema), poor digestion, bad breath, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, bloating, indigestion, heartburn, poor appetite, anxiety, difficulty concentration, difficulty falling and/or staying asleep, poor sleep quality, teeth grinding (especially at night), muscle and/or joint pain, and more.
